September 18, 200917 yr Author I agree with you, Miami is a little better than I thought. They improved from allowing GT 475 rushing yards last year to only about 110 last night. Miami kicker missing 2 chip shot Fg's late cost me the over, at least the Phils won by 2.
September 18, 200917 yr I've won the last two weeks in a row betting on the visiting team. Miami is a little better than I thought, though. It's 2-2 now and if GT didn't colapse it would be 3-1. I still wouldn't count on making money w/ road teams on Thursdays.

They make a profit, but they make most of it on horses. They are not as big of money makers as people think in Vegas. Still a ton of money, but its not guaranteed like other things.
September 19, 200917 yr Author Boise is a huge play tonight for me! While sportsbooks are not huge money makers for casinos, they still make money or they would not have them. They have a season every once in a while where they lose, but not often.

It was -350, so I had to bet alot of money to get anything out of it. Shoot, Fresno just scored again :taz:
September 19, 200917 yr They make a ton off of me. I can only imagine how much they make a day. They make money off small timers and the regular folks. Its the big timers that hurt them. If you make a $100 horse bet I believe their cut is $28 or so. If you make a $110 sports bet you might win. They make more money on horses b/c they can't lose. I was in Vegas in March and Harrah's book took their biggest loss of all time. Sure they win, but everything was more clear to me after talking to a worker.
