Les Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 Matthew Taylor's first two touches of the season went for 47-yard touchdown runs. He had 111 rushing yards and Watkins had 175. Roman Mitchell passed for 88 yards and threw for two TDs and ran for one.

Mark it down he will be a play maker before this season's over. GO HOUNDS!
campbellfield Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 I listened.... Sounded OK for the first game of the season. Superman needs to get a handle on the ball...... Unreal that Smallwood starts on the OL and Manns is starting at TE. Manns will serve the team much better on the OL and will greatly improve his stock as far as schollys go if he plays OL. He will catch no more than 10 passes this season. It seems that certain players get to play where they want and others play where they are told............

Indeed, if you got it you got it....forget the dedication and off season stuff.......all that matters is being there on Friday nights....yeah right......one game does not make a season my friend. Harlan is no Fort Campbell, New Cath, Desales, Prestonsburg or Middlesboro. Hounds got the W tonight, not much else was accomplished in the big scheme of things.
wideopen Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 I thought Corbin would win, but pull this one out late in the game. Harlan has a boat load of seniors and a 1,500 yard back returning from last year. Did Corbin control all 4 quarters of this game?

But I will give credit to Harlan they are a much improved team since the past and will do nothing but get better.
powerfootball Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 Corbin began pulling starters as soon as the 4th began. I thought Pennington and Link for Harlan were very nice football players. Matthew Taylor is making a statement at RB for the Redhounds.

corbin fan Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 We looked alright in the win but still lots of room for improvement.Taylor looked real good on defense and offense. We didn't pass much Mitchell did have 2 touchdowns 1 running 1 passing.Way to many fumbles we did recover some of them but have to hold on to the ball better.Defense did pretty good.We had alot of flags on us.Look forward to this week at Pigskin. Not use to plain grey helmet like the C on them.

I agree he needs to hold on to the ball. Not use to him having ball handleing promblems.Don't think he fumbled that many times all of last year. But don't have to worry he will be find.

nomorenoles Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 (edited) Did Fritts play? He would add a huge diminsion to this offense. 3 backs is better than 2. Especially when you can't throw. Edited August 29, 2009 by rockmom
