Lone Oak predictions for the season

Featured Replies

Any thoughts on this season? What about scheduling 2 6A schools and Lexington Catholic? They have a senior Quarterback but the sophomore Presnell looked better with the first team!!:popcorn:

Looper looked very good in my opinion. The senior has a good arm. The Flash are balanced this year on offense with some very good speed. Defensive intensity impressed me in the first game. That was something lacking a bit last year.

Looper did look very good but my thoughts are why go with a senior qb if you have a sophomore with just as much skill and your building for next year. With the talented skill positions being sophomores like Joe Starks, the Cain boys on the line, Phelix Cologn at receiver, why not let Looper receive and get the soph qb some experience?

Good move on Lone Oak's part to improve their strength of schedule. Granted Marshall and Graves are at the bottom tier of 6A, but Lexington Catholic is a big improvement. Green County was a nice addition too.

I can see them going 7-3 or 8-2.

I dont know anything about Green County what are there strengths, weekneses? Do they have any speed?

Does anyone think the Flash can hang in there with Lexington Catholic?

Green County - 2A, 21-4 over the last two years, primarily a rushing offense, not sure about their defense this year.

Lexington Catholic will be highly favored over Lone Oak.

Lone Oak should be 3-0 going into the game against Lexington Catholic as their next two games are against Reidland and Marshall County. Lexington Catholic should be a indicator for Lone Oak if they are gonna be a contender or pretender this year in 4A

I agree because they could be back in the finals again.

I would definitely continue with Looper. They are playing to have a playoff run this year. I don't see them as rebuilding. Presnell will get playing time against some of the weaker opponents. He should get plenty of snaps this Friday.

I agree. Well see against Lexington Catholic if what everyone is saying is true that Lone Oaks line is the best its been in years. Matt Starks looked as good as any RB that ive seen this year....Thoughts?

The Starks cousins have great speed and Matt is a fine receiver. An announcer for the Flash tells me Haskins calls the 2 lines some the best he's had.
