Wow, X seems to be just as dominant as last year again. A sloppy offensive game still didn't slow them down.

 

I believe the gap in the state goes somewhat like this:

 

St. X

Trinity

They are just heads and above everyone else in the state in every aspect of the game. They're scary good.

Wyatt Gray is the St. X. kicker. He's a senior and has been the varsity kicker since the middle of his sophomore year.

By the way......St. Xavier has an outstanding punter/ kicker. I saw him punt during halftime warmups and he can send the football into orbit. His kickoffs were also either in or through the end zone all but one time. He is a deadly weapon for the Tigers. Senior? Junior? Is he being recruited?

 

As noted by Rocket20, Wyatt Gray (Sr.) is the K/P for St. X. and he actually kicked in a varsity game his freshman year (a major rarity at St. X.). He attended a number of national kicking and punting camps this spring and summer, and is rated as one of the Top 10 combo kickers in the nation. He has a very bright future at the next level.

 

As an aside, he is also an excellent WR with outstanding hands. However, Coach Glaser doesn't use him there much for fear of injury. To your point he is a major special teams weapon for the Tigers.

Does anyone know if Wyatt has any offers at this point? I can think of one team that could really use a punter with a good head on his shoulders...

I wonder which team that would be? Could it possibly be a defending National Champion? :lol:
