July 6, 200917 yr Author I do not understand the baseball lines. Can somebody explain the baseball lines? Regular baseball lines are based $100 wagers, if it a +, that means they are underdogs and you would win that much if you wagered $100. If a team is minus something, that means they are favored and you would have to bet that much to win $100.

July 6, 200917 yr ^ That is correct for the most part but if you have a huge favorite such as -300. Meaning you have to risk 300 to win 100, you can bet the Run Line (RL) Which is -1.5 for a much better price usually around -110. That means they have to win by 2 or more runs.

Most online sites give you the option to bet baseball games with 1 and a half runs as the line, but the odds still work the same as straight up, just altered to reflect the difference. Also they have over/unders, which sometimes favor one side or the other, in turn they use the same +/- situation. Hockey is pretty much the same. If you look most books have a moneyline wager for football and hoops, which is worked just like the baseball lines.
July 7, 200917 yr Cueto doesn't look like such a good value now, he was terrible tonight! Wow over in the first inning glad I didn't take Cueto too. Cubs got me the under so all is well. What a horrible night as a Reds fan.
July 7, 200917 yr I took a beating tonight. First time in months. Still playing on house money but in the hole to start the week. Cincy got waxed something awful! Bought 1.5 on the Reds. Went big on the Bosox and they ended up not starting Ped or Bay. Won Colo and San Fran to save some face.

July 7, 200917 yr Author I like 2 big favs tonight, Colorado-185 and SF -170 and looking at a couple of dogs, Cueto and the Reds +150 and Oakland +200 (Smoltz has stuggled a little so far). Not a bad night, hard to be happy when the Reds get embarrassed like that! Tonight I am looking at Florida, Arizona, Seattle, and Detroit.
July 7, 200917 yr I took: WSox Yanks Sea St Louis Colo I like the RSox but the number is too high for me. I like Sea a lot. If the early games go good I might fire a little more on them. Like Atl a lil but not taking them.
