Early in his career, Sosa had a gun for an arm.

 

I watched a game during the last weekend of old Comiskey Park - Mariners (with Junior) vs. Pale Hose. Someone hit a ball to the right-field corner and Sosa picked it up and threw a strike to third base on one tiny hop. Not saying he was much of a fielder, but he had an arm early on.
