Commitments to Louisville at this time may be premature due to the fact that the entire Louisville coaching staff will more than likely get fired at the end of the upcoming season. The new coach and staff will want to evaluate and bring in his own recruits.

You might need to read Tom Jurich's thoughts on Coach K.

Thank you for your insight.

When a new coach is hired on in football they usually don't have enough time to put together a brand new recruiting class. Some of the kids committed to the school will look elsewhere, but of those remaining in college football most still have an open scholarship. There are some cases like Tahj Boyd last year, but most of them still have a spot. Lane Kiffin last year built on the class that was left to him, and added some final pieces (great pieces actually). He didn't go out and bring in 26 new players, I think they were left with about 12 or 13 or so and he went from there.

U of L is not in a position football wise to scrap an entire reruiting class and bring in 26 new players between late December and March. That would be tough even for USC. It's not basketball where you are bringing in a handful of kids. Most coaches first year on the job the recruiting class is a wash, if the previous coach has been fired. Most of the top talent has looked elsewhere and they just cannot bring in the top talent in that short amount of time to a team that has just had a bad season. Kiffin is the exception, not the rule.

And who knows, Krags might win 10 games this season and get an new contract.

Awesome News...I am looking forward to watching him play against the Ads this season...:thumb:
