Could this be Harlan County's first Div. 1 football player in the future?

 

Sounds as though he is making a legit claim in his early years! I bet he is also a very smart young man if I were guessing!

 

Easy there Lungbuster, let's not get the cart before the horse. Remember this kid hasn't even seen any high school practice action as of yet, let alone playing time. He's proven he is a hard worker. Only time will tell the rest. I'm excited for him and expect good things.:thumb:

Mama Bear, is HCMS on LC's scedule for this season?

Someone told me that Bell Co only took 13 players. Could someone tell if that is true and if so that was a great showing for 3rd place.

 

I counted 12 but maybe there was 13. Baseball and a track meet the night before kept some from going. I know of two hefties that were turkey hunting and about 8 that just didn't go for some reason, that would have greatly increased our showing. Whitley had the numbers but Harlan had the meat. Good job Black Bears and good job to our boys who showed up.

Harlan County has three middle school football programs that feed Harlan County High School: Cumberland, Evarts and New Harlan. I don't think that Lynn Camp plays New Harlan, not sure of the other two. There's a load of talent in all three programs that will provide plenty of excitement here in Harlan County for year's to come.

I believe Tucker will play D1 football, but I don't think he will be the first.
