Manual TWICE thie year?

Highlands only plays Manual once in 2009, at the start of the season.

7 on 7 is back and should help the Bulldogs passing game

Isn't the QB back and a key Running back? I've been away from the program for two years, but might be back in two more. Kid playing soccer but built like a linebacker. Hang on Coach Red.

Any early thoughts on how 2009 Male will compare with 2008 Male?

Different!

Male will play Etown week 0. Anyone know how Etown is going to be this year?

How does the 2009 Lou. Male team think they will do against a loaded Highland Bluebird team?

Good!

From what I'm hearing from my Male contacts, Male will not have the stud running back that they've had for so long. Good running backs, but not the super studs that they've had in the past. With a returning qb, I look for Male to pass the ball more than we've seen in past scrimmages. That may be the "different" that a poster mentioned. Male supposedly has a good O line returning, so maybe they'll run the ball more than I think. But for some reason, I think they'll pass the ball more down field this year than we are accustomed to seeing.

I'd be surprised if Male changes much on defense. Coach R loves the press defense that either results in no gain or a long td.

Let's just hope that both squads get through the scrimmage without injuries this year. Last year's scrimmage was a terrible way to start off the year. I still get a terrible feeling in my stomach whenever I think of Conner breaking his leg. Things turned out all right for the team, but it saddens me to think of what Conner missed out on. He'd worked his tail off during the off season and was primed to have a banner year.

I agree, hope both teams are injury free!
