Clyde Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Former Miss Kentucky pitcher and current Oklahoma freshman pitcher Kirsten Allen has started off 7 - 5 for OU. It appears that OU uses 3 pitchers and she is one of the 3. 2 of the 5 losses have come in the bottom of the 7th.

I'm sure it's been an adjustment actually sharing the pitching position. From what I understand, she was pretty much the "one and only" at Ryle.

From what I understand, she was pretty much the "one and only" at Ryle. She was their workhorse. When they met a team they could hit her (as happened in the state tournament with O'Cath and North Laurel), her team's offense couldn't match up. She has excellent size (tall) and was a sensational high school pitcher. Very talented young lady and a fierce competitor.

Allie Allen ( I think) is the pitcher you are referring to. She's off to a great start. She and Kirsten combined on a shutout recently.
