Anderson 13th Region Coach of the year

I thought Rains from Williamsburg did the best job this year,his girls were very much improved from the past years.

Who selects the winner and what are the criteria?

Anderson is a great coach, but he wasn't the coach of the year this year.

 

Rains has done a great job, but he would be my second choice. Williamsburg didn't win the All "A" or make it out of the district.

 

Anthony Nolan should be the coach of the year. Harlan County made it to the regional finals in its FIRST year after Nolan brought together three average to bad teams into one.

:confused::confused:No way he deserves this award. Nothing against him but he didnt do a good job this year and IMO has NEVER gotten the most out of his teams.

I think that these awards are laughable this year..Anderson gets coach of the year and The Jackson kid for North gets player of the year. Nothing against either, but if you are going to give these awards give them to those who deserve them.

I agree HDE. I thought Nolan did a great job.

For those of us unfamiliar with 13th Region girls basketball, who is this "Anderson" and what team does he/she coach?

He's always been a very good coach. This was one of his worst years though. It makes no sense.

 

Jackson is a nice player. I'd give Tyra the edge though.

I thought that was who (Harris and Tyra) were recognized at the state tournament. Then why did people say that Anderson and Jackson won as player and coach of the year?:confused:

It's two different organizations. One was the KABC (Harris and Tyra) and the other was the 13th Region Coaches Association.
