Owen vs. Anderson predictions

Featured Replies

I'm not that familiar with Anderson Co as I dont live in the area anymore, but I would venture to say that I've witnessed Owen Co pull bigger upsets than what tonight would be.

Beating Lexington Catholic 58-54 in the 1996 All A first round when the Knights were #1 comes to mind immediately, as well as a 64-43 pasting of region co-favorite Shelby Co later that year in the 8th semifinals, after losing to them by 20+ earlier that season. I know that means nothing tonight, but this is high school basketball...almost anything can happen.

I guess we'll find out around 6:30 tonight! Go Rebels!

Owen matches up with Anderson better than most people think. They match up height wise with the guards and when Anderson brings in Humphries to go along with Russell and Penny, then Owen can bring in Sawyer Williams. Penny and Russell will get their 20 and 15. But if the Rebels can limit what Jenkins, Ruggles, and Humphries do, then I think they have a legitamate shot to win.

Anderson Co. 63-52.

For some reason I feel like OC matches up pretty well with AC. I dont know if it will happen, but I am going with OC by 3. Mustangfan01, I think it will be more shocking if this isnt a good game. I dont think either team will win by more than 6-8 points. I am wishing for an All A rematch for the 8th title!

Hopefully for Owen, more like a 31st district rematch. :D

AC by 10+ :thumb:

The only shocker will be if Owen is actually in the game.

I guess your still a little upset by the Bearcats win over your Mustangs in the first round.:ylsuper::ylsuper::ylsuper:

Upset is not an accurate statement. Dissappointed yes. But, North did not take care of business in the district to ensure that they did not play the Bearcats until either the semifinals or the finals of the region. Getting 1 game under your belt would have helped tremendously.

Anyway, my comment was just like everyone else's on here, my opinion. After North beat Owen by 14 at home earlier in the year without 2 starters and seeing that Anderson beat Owen by 18 at Owen County, it is my opinion that Owen does not have the talent level to compete for an entire game with the Bearcats.

If you say that I am upset for stating my opinion, then, I guess, I am upset.

Owen has proved they can play with Anderson for a half. At 6:30 tonight we will see if they can battle an entire game. I have followed Owen this entire year and there is one thing i can promise, Devin Duvall's boys will be ready to play.

I guess it is unfortunate for Owen that a FULL basketbal game consists of 4 quarters then?

Anderson Co. by 14+, Owen won't be able to run with them but good luck to both teams.
