March 8, 200917 yr I did find this: Over a menu of wagyu beef, scallops, roasted sunchokes, and huckleberry cobbler, the President's first formal dinner in the White House welcomed 50 state leaders. But that was for the Governor's dinner. 3 of the 4, I don't even know what they are.:lol:
March 8, 200917 yr The meat from wagyu cattle is known worldwide for its marbling characteristics, increased eating quality through a naturally enhanced flavor, tenderness and juiciness, and thus a high market value. Several areas in Japan are famous for the quality of their Wagyu cattle, and ship beef bearing their areas' names. Some examples are Kobe, Mishima and Ohmi beef. The wagyu cattle's genetic predisposition yields a beef that contains a higher percentage of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids[1] than typical beef. The increased marbling also improves the ratio of monounsaturated fats to saturated fats. Sunchokes look like small, knobby potatoes, but they have a very unique flavor—sweet and nutty, reminiscent of an artichoke heart. An interesting nutritional fact about sunchokes is that 75 to 80 percent of their carbohydrate content is in the form of inulin (not insulin!) rather than starch. This mean that the sugars break down into sucrose, not glucose, which might be of interest to those with concerns about sugar levels. Inulin is also a prebiotic, which can improve digestion and enhance immunity. I am not sure what the problem is, the meal was very healthy. Will we attack him next because the household staff uses a high priced cleaner?
