We in the 9th and 10th Regions are struggling with SMG's enforcement of a blackout of radio, internet and taped delay broadcasts of the upcoming regional tournaments. There has even been the suggestion that reporters will not be able to bring laptop computers to the 9th & 10th regional tournament games. Has SMG enforced similar policies with the 4th Region tourney at Diddle Arena or the 15th Region tourney at the Eastern Kentucky Expo Center?

I have never heard of any blackout on the media at the 4th Region tournament. I know that I can turn on about 4 different stations and hear the tournament. I know a few of those are webcast as well. I bring my laptop to every game for the purpose of capturing video directly to it, and I have at no point ever had a problem with that either.

Do you think it would be appropriate to also ask if SMG entered into the same financial arrangements with the schools from the 4th Region? I think it's kind of germane to the issue here.

I would love to review the Use License Agreement between SMG and the 4th Region, and SMG and the 15th Region. I rather doubt that are brethern on BGP have access to the documentation. They probably do, however, know if there is internet or radio coverage of the regional tourney games. Or if reporters covering the 4th or 15th Regions are allowed to bring their computers to the games. (or pencils:D) As a public service to the fans in the 9th and 10th Regions, if anyone has a copy of the Use License Agreement between SMG and the 4th Region or SMG and the 15th Region please share the details.
