February 13, 200917 yr Author We had the Dyson and it was junk. It kept breaking down and it never lived up to the claims they made. The only thing more frustrating than trying to actually use the thing was trying to get any satisfaction whatsoever from customer service. It finally became too much to deal with and we junked it. One practical joke a day is enough. :irked:
February 13, 200917 yr I want this sweeper so bad. I see it all the time, and FF and I always say we should break down and buy it. We have an Oreck that we love though. It is very light.
February 13, 200917 yr We have hardwood floors throughout the entire house and also have the Dyson Animal. I've had it for two years now and I wouldn't trade it for anything!
February 13, 200917 yr Author Is there an attachment for stairs and draperies? Yes it comes with two attachments, and you can buy more if needed. I really don't think you need an attachment for stairs though.

February 13, 200917 yr Author Does that model have the big long wand on it? I use that thing for cleaning more than I use the whole machine. Yes. It's great for getting ceiling fans, and corners of walls and ceilings.
February 13, 200917 yr We used to have an Oreck and I have to say the Dyson cleans circles around the Oreck. It is heavier, but it works so much better.
February 13, 200917 yr I once bought an Electrolux from Lowes. I owned on years before and it was the best vacuum I ever owned. Spent almost $500.00. Turns out that the name Electrolux was sold to a different company. They put the name on a lousy machine and fools like me bought a name on a piece of junk.:madman: Glad to hear you like your Dyson.
