Who do you think will be the Miss softball in KY this year?

The best player in SEKY will be Emily Gaines from South Laurel, but only a junior so will not be eligible. It appears to be wide open this year. This past year had 1 apparent front runner and several other solid candidates. This year, not sure who will step up and claim it. Should be an exciting year.

I agree I did not know of any clear cut favoites this year. I think next year there will be several girls that will be in the running.

Does anyone think Amber Riddle from Rowan Co will get any consideration?

I think she holds the single season & career Home Run record in the state. I know more goes into a good player than that but that alone should put her on the radar for Miss Softball.

Rowan needs to play against top-notch competition and she would get more recognition.

She will compete for the national home run record this year.

Are you talking in her career? How many does she have?

Franklin County's Madelyn Brown is a very good catcher/hitter.

I'm saying that she has a chance to break the national career record in home runs this year. I think she needs around 19 or less.

I'll toss in Simon Kenton's Kayla Morganfrom NKY. Signed with Pikeville recently great season on the mound and at the plate last season.

Amber has 38 career homeruns.:dancingpa

How many is she off of the national record? I know she's close.

The national record is 61. Whe needs 23 to tie and 24 to break.
