Holmes moved up 5 spots from last week and is now ranked #15 nationally and are now #3 in the midwest region.

 

We all know these polls are just for fun, but as KENTUCKY HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL FANS, we should all be proud of the recognition they're receiving because it's only going to bring more exposure to other teams and players around the state as well.

ER, I'm starting to think KY could have two pre-season top 20 teams. With Holmes being top 10 next year. I know I might be pushing it, but both teams return 4 D-1 caliber players. Tell me what you think.

I think it's definetly possible for both Holmes and Scott Co to be ranked pre season top 20 next year with what they return. IMO one of them will win the state title this year which will go a long way in what they are ranked pre season next year. Whichever wins the state title could very well be pre season top 15 or top 10 next year. I see Holmes being ranked somewhere in the top 10 when they head to Rupp...if they continue to win of course and take care of business.

I see Jamesville-DeWitt out of NY at #16. The kid going to Syracuse, Brandon Triche, is the best player I've seen this season.

Congrats to the Bulldogs, if they keep playing well and avoid any slip ups through the remainder of the regular season they could be in the top 10 here soon. This is great for the state of KY in general and for Holmes High.
