North Laurel 69 Henry Clay 65

Featured Replies

Final.

Henry Clay trailed by as many as 21 at one point and came back to tie it with 2 minutes left but NL sealed the deal at the line down the stretch.

Seidel was the Hoopfest Player of the game from this one. Not just his scoring (I am pretty sure over 20), but several blocked shots down the stretch sealed the deal. Good game. HC showed a lot of heart coming back from 20 down to take the lead, but the past few games NL is doing something they didn't do in that 7 game losing streak, ... finish. Fun game to watch.

The Jags are starting to turn things around.

Henry Clay isn't a real big threat state wide but they have beaten Bryan Station by 3, lost by 5 to Station in the first meeting, and beaten Dunbar. This is a very nice win for the Jaguars. Congrats to them. It's my understanding that the 49th still draws. It never was in much doubt but I think it's safe to say that if they are on different sides, you can almost pencil in North and Clay going to region.

You are right, .... but that is a big IF. It usually happens when they are the 2 best teams in their district, they usually seem to draw each other. I hope they don't.

I'd say this is a big win for the 13th region. Congratulation Jaguars.:dancingpa:dancingpa:dancingpa:dancingpa

If North can continue to play more like they did in this hoopfest, they will be a dark horse in the 13th region. They seem to have gotten past their losing streak and are playing MUCH better right now.

I am sure that Coach Conway won't rub it in to his friend and former coaching mate Daniel Brown that he beat him!
