Actually West had cut the lead to 4 just before the foul and technicals were called. On the radio they said something happened on the West bench, I guess it was one of the players slapping the floor like someone said. Then the WC coach got T'd up for mouthing with the ref's. So they got a foul with 2 freebies and then two technical with two shot's each. So in all they got 6 shots and Jackson hit 5-6 to put the game away.

Some game , sounds like it was East's game to lose.

I think they were up by six when all of this happened. Kawada hit the first two and then Jackson hit 3 out of 4 on the technical shots. The first technical was not for slapping the floor, it was when Oney looked at the ref and said something. He let him by with it the first time but he said it again and got the technical.

East came out ready to play tonight. They played with a lot of intensity from start to finish. Not sure of the stats but East had a balanced scoring attack, with all 5 starters in double figures. East got BIG play from Caleb Adams and Connor Robinson, when Bair got into foul trouble. Good passing, tight defense, and team work were the keys in tonight's win.

Congrats to EC on the win. I told EC fans not to give up on Coach Baker. He is still one of the best in the region (tops in my opinion), and this team will be ready during tournament time.

This was really the first game WC has lost this season when they were the favorite. It will be interesting to see how they respond. I would guess they will be fine, and will get back on a roll.

no one slapped the floor, the player said something to the ref. Coldiron has been showed down all year by players and officials. Coach Baker showed him down at the end of the first half, and nothing happened with a T. How do you call that with a two possession game with such high intensity. Coldiron loves to make calls that put him at the center of attention. This was not the reason West lost, poor transition defense and the game was extremely physical. With 16th region officiating , usually this game is spent at the free throw line.

Foul on a West player he slaps the floor for the T the while the official is explaining the call to Coach Webb I don't know what the ref said but coach Webb got pretty heated and then he got a T.

 

There was no slapping of the floor for the T. Talked to coach webb and other coach's on the staff, Coldiron told coach webb that the Oney kid "are you kidding me", in my opinion a two possion ball game (west down 4) and you make a call like that is pretty bold espically with what Coldiron let the east staff do at the end of the half. Webb got a T for arguing with Coldiron on how in the world you call a T on a kid for saying, "are you kidding me". Heated game, rival game, district game all adds up to alot of emotions, if it was foul language then I would understand. If you were setting close enough to the bench Coldiron called another foul on East and the West coaching staff were all yellin "are you kidding me" at coldiron pretty funny for a vetern official. :popcorn:
