Jesse James
Sacred Heart is very solid. Coach Moir has them playing well.

CAL4ALL
After a nine-day rest from games, CAL played like they were asleep mentally and physically. Sacred Heart took full advantage by playing fundamental basketball after reducing some 1st-half turnovers. With CAL out of sync most of the night, it's surprising that it was still a four-point game at 35-31 after the 3rd quarter. The Lady Centurions went 1 for 14 from 3-point range, rarely taking a shot in offensive rhythm. Some of the credit certainly belongs to the Valkyries' solid defense, but CAL moved in slow motion on offense and resorted to fouling when a step slow on defense, causing Slaughter, Bowman, and Walden to get into foul trouble well before the clock mercifully ran out. After defeating Manual and then being upset by Assumption, the Valkyries were ready for battle, and the victory was surprisingly easy. Shaking off an injury, Sacred Heart's Autumn Miller sliced through CAL's defense, finding open shots for herself or her teammates. At this juncture, Coach Moir's young team is playing as a unit, not always polished, but always prepared. The Lady Centurions retreated tonight, but it would be a mistake to assume their march has come to a complete halt. Their ranking will certainly drop, but perhaps provide the motivation they need. Was this just one more battle in the 7th region war? The LIT should provide some insight into who's up to the challenge.

PrimeTyme
Nice job SHA! CAL is a very good team but you proved to be better this game! Gotta love competition!
Athena
SHA's relentless defense along with their coaching staff was too much for CAL. Slaughter needs to be more engaged, she does not seem to work for the ball, stands around too much and her defense is non existence most of the time. She is a much better player than she is currently showing.
