Jenkins was is street clothes. Manual's season looks pretty grim at this point. If I was the other team I would look past Manual and worry about the next opponent.

Sorry to hear that; I was hoping that the week of rest would help. You never wish anyone to get sick or injured, but it seems like it's toughest in senior year.

Maybe an attitude problem.

If current rankings are all about the "here and now" - which is what they should be - then I don't see how Manual can be considered a top 20 team right now.

 

That said - with the talent they have, the opportunity that Jenkins may be back, and with a talented coach like Coach Just - it would be a mistake to dismiss Manual's chances at the end of the year.

 

They certainly have a lot of questions to be answered right now, though.

It was said last night that no one player was more critical to a team's success than Jenkins. I have to agree. Any team losing a player and leader of Jenkins caliber would suffer.

 

Manual does have plenty of other talent. Struggling with cohesiveness would be from losing its leader. Though last night's performance was lackluster. Manual needs to get Jenkins back and correct these issues or the season ends in the district.

Agreed. More than most of the other teams highly regarded at the beginning of the year, Manual seems to be very dependent on one player. It appears - and I haven't seen Manual, so I'm looking at scores and reading recaps - that the rest of the team really needs his leadership, as well as scoring.
