No. I think there are other plays in NKY better than him as well. But he is def. not better than Maile. Which is why I say that 2010 must be weak, because if Jones is ranked 90 something, and Maile is ranked 100 and whatever in the 09 class..hmm.

PG Crosschecker is not a science, and not every player goes through the Perfect Game system. There are many times guys that get missed by PG and sometimes they over-hype players. I don't think we should read too much into it for the 2010 class

I never read into things like this, or polls or whatever. I mean my brothers team has been number one for the past two years in NKY and haven't been able to muscle their way out of the regional championship despite having some amazing baseball players on the team. I just think it's interesting to look at, especially since I've seen the kid play.

I have seen Hunter play twice. The first game he was something like 1-3 with 2 pop ups and a single and the next game he was 0-2 with a walk a popout and a groundout. I know only two games is not a lot to base a kid off of but when watching him in those two that I did see, I didn't see much. He also managed 2 errors in the first one.

Good looking ballplayer but the couple of times I saw him play I haven't been blown away to the point of this rating. I surely wouldn't put him in front of Maile.:confused:

 

He's not ranked in front of Maile. They're two different classes. Hunter is younger and is ranked higher in HIS class than Maile is in his. PG is a very well respected agency and looked upon for guidance into the top players in the country by many schools and scouts.

 

Obviously Hunter Jones has gained much respect as a junior. I would suspect that he will receive a lot of attention being ranked this high by PG at this stage of the game.
