The big kid from Franklin had a nice game. Forced outside with Pittman guarding him he hit some nice outside shots. Pittman had some very nice blocks. Franklin's guards are solid. In the JV game 8th grader McClendon for Holmes hit 4-5 3's with 3 of them being from 24 feet plus (shot doesn't look good but nothing but net) and Slusher scored a bunch inside. Herndon was solid at PG as well. Very interested in who will play point next year. My guess is Ricardo unless Herndon fills out.

Yes they were. A couple of older guys that sat by me were making comments to Arnold and Riley all night as well as the officials. There some very bad calls tonight, and the Franklin Co. fans sure let the refs know!

 

How many assists did R. Johnson have? It seemed like he had alot.

Mcclendon (8th grader) was very solid in the JV game. When I told the guys sitting beside me he was only an 8th grader, first thing they asked was how old is he? :lol:

Yeah I don't even know what Riley and Arnold did to be constantly being called out, its not like they weren't playing with good sportsmanship! At the end of the night what it says on the score board is all that matters!:thumb:

I did hear a few distasteful remarks from the FC fans when Meyer tried to shake JJ's hand after he elbowed him in the eye on a rebound and JJ just kind of walked by without acknowledging it. To yell at a HS KID as he's walking off the floor with tears in his eyes and his head in his jersey is very classless.

 

Glad a certain FC fan (Meyer's dad) said they could understand it was probably because JJ was just hurt and upset at the time.

 

BTW, JJ did acknowledge Meyer after the game and even gave him a little hug and had a few nice words for him to let him know "no hard feelings." Great sportsmanship by both team's players throughout and after the game.

If he disrespected him by not shaking his hand, I don't blame the FC faithful for getting upset. Especially when you got thousands of people watching. It's good to hear they patched things up at the end though.

I gotta agree. Im glad they patched things up as ETA said, but I'd be a little bit annoyed if a player acted that way. I'm sure the kid didn't intentionally elbow him ya know. Wasn't there though.

I just know that HS kids can get a little attitude especially when they are upset, and then they sort of lose sight of the big picture [it was an accident or whatever]. I'm sure it wasn't an intentional ordeal, but those parents/fans didn't know that, and don't know JJ enough to know that, so it probably might have looked a bit off.

Let's not jump to any conclussions when we weren't there and didn't actually see how it went down....
