Who will win this district game on Friday?

East will win but only by 7-8 points. I have seen East several times this year and last and they are not as good as last year. Drew Johnson brought a lot of intangibles besides scoring and that is a big difference. Barnhill, Kawada, and Pemberton are tall on the inside, but it doesn't translate very well on the court. Elliott beat them by 22 in their gym and just played so so in the 2d half after a poor first half. If Ferg would have put up a bunch of threes and hit what he normally does it would have been a 35 point win. Ferg had 20, but really a very silent 20 with only 2-6 trey shooting.

Ferg is defended all the time by a player usually taller than him. He is just over 6'1". He didn't have any problems raining threes from all over on 6'4'" Aaron Dobson of South Charleston who is rated the top player in the state of West Virginia for the top team in West Virginia. Dobson is very long and athletic. In that game sometimes he had two big guys running at him and buried them from way beyond the arc. Eight of them with 5 in the third quarter alone that buried South Charleston. He didn't even play but the first 2 minutes of the 4th quarter cause the game was over. Pemberton is not near as athletic as Dobson, so I can't buy the tall thing.

According to the thread, this is about East vs. Morgan. I'm going to take East by 12 just because Barnhill has strung together a nice couple of weeks to really help his team to some wins.

East by 5+ it is not Branhill who decides how East will go from the couple of times I've seen them play it is guard play. If they get good guard play they are a good team, if not they are just so so.

I think East will pick up the district win. East's guards can certainly handle what pressure Morgan tries to apply and Morgan has no answer for Barnhill.

Knipp doesn't play for East or Morgan... What are you talking about but Knipp is playing tomorrow against Fairview.
