Jim Schue
The Cards will need to continue building up their numbers, and play better defense. There are 18 starters returning, so those veterans will have to take a big step forward. A big problem last year was the expectations were high, and justifiably so, but the Cards didn't quite know how to play with a lead. Talented running backs return, but there are questions on the line. New coach Jamie Egli will also have to decide on a quarterback between Tyler Martinez, who played a lot two years ago as a sophomore in a relief role, and Daniel Mudd, who got a lot of time last year in relief. How many of those startes will be seniors? And how many years have some of them been starting?

On another note, they had a sign-up/organizational meeting last night, and I was told 107 kids would be coming out, which is a very good sign. There are a lot of good football teams on that schedule is there anybody on there that is different from the 08 season?
cut block
Only 5 teams on that schedule went over 500 last year. 2 of the teams won less than 3 games. Looks pretty weak other tan Marion, Bullit East, John Hardin, Greenwood, and Meade. Everybody else they should beat and name the score. Bardstown and North will be young, but the other teams are not good football progrms.

Dropping Butler and So. Oldham and replacing them with Shelby and Warren Central is a good upgrade for them.
