I hate it for the Colonels. It seems like they've been right there with South for the past two seasons only to fall short at the end.

I agree. People forget that the Colonels had South on the ropes in last year's district tourney game.

He had a brace or something on his knee - the radio guy said. For him only playing 19 minutes and in foul trouble most of the game and scoring 18, I believe that's even a bigger win for South tonight.

 

I have Whitley ranked sixth in my top 10.

Whitley plays as hard as anyone. They lack a go to guy but have a bunch of athletic kids who can play. St. John is a horse. He is much improved over last year. 18 in a 44 point game is a huge game.

I was just looking at some game pictures and I didn't see a knee brace on St. John, so I was wrong.

I must have overlooked them when reading that thread. I was surprised that they were not in the top ten.

Yeah, I just checked the thread. I had them sixth and said they would give South a run for its money tonight. And, they did.

Guess Whitley did the job on St. John then. If he gets under 25 and the Cards win is a big plus. Whitley has some talent and many others on the bench who can be game changers.

I don't know Bubba, looks like the foul trouble slowed St. John down. I mean, he did score 18 points in only 19 minutes. That's a pretty good points to minute ratio IMO.

UK needs to seriously consider him. He is putting up huge numbers and is 6'9. This kid is carrying the Cards and seems to be getting better each season. Back to basket players are hard to find and he seems to enjoy scoring in the paint. Could be a diamond in the rough. What kind of grades does he command?
