Bath County 51 Rowan County 49

Featured Replies

Folks may not be surprised by the Bath win here, but this was a very entertaining and hard-fought game.

The score was very close all the way through the game, but Bath got the win on a layup by Maze with six seconds to go.

For Bath, Metz was hot and had 28 points. Maze had 14. On the Rowan side, Morrison played very well, with 23 points and 15 rebounds (all stats from the Herald-Leader).

I see things tightening up a bit in the 61st. Rowan is clearly improving, and Bath and Menifee are playing well. And Fleming got a win last night. Menifee still has to be considered the favorite, though.

Should be an interesting district tourney.

Menifee is 3-0 against district foes, so they would have to be put at the top. I was surprised at this score, Rowan must have played really well. Bath better get the ship righted soon with Montgomery next on the slate.

Didn't Rowan lose a high-scoring starter to injury in the Menifee game? I don't know his name - wondering if he's back??? I think it was a high ankle sprain. Ouch.
