I agree . With anyone of Clark's starting five out , it makes a big difference. Purvis being out for the year was a killer for the Cards .

I figured this would be a closer game. I would like to see them meet up again.

 

I did too with Robert Hatton out with a sprained ankle. Vinny Zollo stepped up with 25 points, 16 rebounds and 5 block shots.

I agree. This was mention in the Mason thread with Downing out. Well, GRC had Pervis ( out for the Year) and Hatton out....makes a HUGE difference.

He's a solid guard who gets lost in the "names" GRC has this year. Everyone talks about Zollo, Stenzel, Rogers, and sometimes Purvis, but Hatton is a big part of their success. He is a 6'2 guard who is hard nosed, a good defender, a good ball handler, a good 3 point shooter, makes good decisions, and I saw a thing on the Scholastic Ball Report where he has like a 4.0 GPA too.

GRC would not have had nearly as many turnovers against Scott if Hatton had been in the game. Plus he is one kid that comes ready to get after it every time.

Basically he is a coaches dream player. Sounds like he goes 110% and that's all you can ask. Helps that he can ball too.

I agree with everything you posted. Robert is a great kid on and off the court. He is not a flashy player, just gets in there and gets the job done. He has played hurt or sick most of the season , but never makes excuses.
