Rowan County 67 Manual 57

Featured Replies

If he knew nothing about them it's on him. RC beat 2 very good teams and one pretty good team in Boone Co. over the holidays. If you're the #1 team in the state, you'd better be ready to play every night. And, the bus ride was 2:20

Relax....

I said it was a great win. What more do you want?

I didn't say anything about the coaches. I said the Manual kids...not coaches.

Enjoy the win and take a compliment when it is given. Rowan will be a tough out come tournament time.

Yes, congrats to Rowan County on two big wins in a row. I think they deserve a high ranking. Perhaps Jason Frakes of the Courier-Journal deserves some credit for putting them at #10 even before last night's game.

I don't think it diminishes Rowan's victory at all to say the game meant more to them. Should it have meant as much to Manual? Of course. However, the reality is that a non-ranked or lower-ranked team often has more desire to prove themselves, a worthy motivation. The challenge for the higher-ranked team is to remain hungry every game.

On a related note, I wouldn't take offense if someone said that CAL's recent wins over top ten-ranked Elizabethtown and Montgomery County were because they were "bigger games" for CAL than the other teams.

CAL has played some great games early. I saw them this summer and they have made some great strides since.

Best of luck to them in a tough region.

I'm relaxing :)

Great win for the Lady Vikings and Coach Tackett. Man, he's done a great job in the 1+ years he's been there.
