It looks as if Cards are hitting stride.

Any stats from this game?

Cardinals look to be at the top of the nest in the 13th at the New Year. Impressive win. Hope they get the title against Scott tomorrow? Les, do you have any scores from the other games? WBurg, Bville, etc

Bubba,

I started a nice two week vacation and the ole wife wanted me to stay home. I was listening to ole Bing Crosby songs when I came across this score. I believe St. John scored around 32, though.

I read in one publication, that St. John is the number 8 post player in the junior class in the United States. That is very impressive. Some school will get a steal in him. How does he rank Vinny Zollo and Dakota Euton? Is UK gonna let another good in state kid slip away?

Hope you enjoy the rest. We will miss your presence at the CFIT and the nice hospitality room food as well. Heck the Varsity Club may make some money if you are not going to attend this year. LOL.

December basketball is not worth much. Most teams are still trying to find themselves. I would much rather come from behind and finish strong as to peak too early and face the agony of defeat in March. I look for South to win their own tourney easily over Cov. Scott. The table is set, now eat up Cards.

I did not know your wife was OLE......lol

I thought she was the better half of the Duo?

Nice win for South Laurel

Now Bubba, I didn't say I wouldn't be at the CFIT this weekend. Every one knows they have the best hospitality room around. I can't miss that. The ole wife will have to do without me for a couple of days.

I agree with your statement about December basketball, I would rather be playing my best basketball in February and March.

South seems to be the top dawg at this time. Lots of thing can change come March.

I figured you would be able to slip away and catch some action at the CFIT.

Should be a big crowd with Lynn Camp, Knox Central, Corbin and South all bringing hoards of fans.

It would be nice to see a Corbin vs South round two in the finals. I think the Hounds will be there. Can the Cards fill their end of the deal?

It could be round two between Corbin and Knox Central.

Could be. I would think Gaffney will have something to say about that matchup. I would not count out Coach Pennington and the Lynn Camp Wildcats. They may get Bell again as well. I look for Gaffney to press Knox all night long and check the Panthers skills against the press early and often. Miller has not been putting up big numbers this week at Bryan Station and Messer might find a hand in his face on those 3's he so loves to take. I look for South and Corbin to go at it again in the finals, but what do I know about things. Hard to get a good read on things from the rafters. Les, can you get me a press pass?

Do you think it will be that easy? Sounds to me like Scott is playing good basketball. Good win for South Laurel.
