Solid win right? Coach Wright's teams are usually pretty good!

They beat us pretty handily last year. Not the same team though. S Oldham lost a ton to graduation.

4 of 5 starters graduated last year, and the first player off the bench. 73% of the scoring and 90+% of the rebounding, including star guard Lauren Jones, who led the 8th Region in scoring last season at 21 ppg, and led the state in FT% at about 88%. (Jones is now playing at Austin Peay)

South is going to be OK, but they're PAINFULLY young...almost looks like they have three freshmen teams. They have a freshman team, a JV team (with 8 of 9 players who are freshmen), and 5 of 11 varsity players are freshmen! The starting PG is a freshman! So...lots of learning "experiences" early - but the talent is there, and Coach Wright will have them make some noise I would expect before all is said and done this year.

Congrats to Highlands on the win, and good luck Lady Dragons!

Very good win for HHS
