December 11, 200817 yr The other NY team is busy throwing the bank at CC Sabathia. I don't have a problem with the Yankees. I think they're an illustration of one of the biggest problems in baseball, but I don't blame them for doing what they do. Until baseball implements a salary cap, the Yanks are free (for lack of a better word) to do what they want to do financially. No, I do not think that the Mets' payroll is cheap. Actually, the Mets' have the highest payroll in the National League. Or at least they did in 2008. And it was still $60 million LESS than the Yankees. I feel the same as you. I think there should be a cap that is why the NFL is soooo great! If there isn't going to be one then I want a team that is going to go after players if possible. I don't blame either team just get irked at the double standard a lot of folks have because they hate the Yanks so much (not talking about you at all). I didn't even mention Santana in the last post. There is another one!

He got a whole lot of saves over the years in Anaheim because their offense was terrible...they were involved in a ton of 1-2 run games. K-Rod always looks like he's too pumped up and trying too hard when it's an important game. Heck, I thought he might explode during the All-Star Game. He'll make the Mets better, but they need more than him.
