Extremely disappointing for a team that returned 4 starters from last year. A lack of sound fundamentals is a good place to start. Passing, shooting and rebounding are all problems. They've only made a total of 23 FG's in the last 2 games. They get out-rebounded every game because they don't box out and get in to rebounding position when the shot goes up. They don't get enough out of their passing game. They have quick guards who can penetrate the middle of a defense, but too often they don't find an open player to pass to and instead try to shoot over 2 defenders.

 

I'd also like to see someone step up and take a leadership roll on this team to try to bring the girls together and have better focus.

 

It's still early in the season and there's time to get things straightened out, but so far they are terribly under-achieving.

He comes to Dixie with no Varsity experience. It seems that there is a lack of motivating both on and off the court. The team is not being pushed by the coaching staff to help them to realize what they are really capable of. They seem to have "settled". Hopefully he can get this team focused and working together quickly. The past few games have been quite an embarrassment!!

I agree quite an embarrassment! The majority of the girls seem to know what needs to happen but don't feel that they can voice their opinion to the new coaching staff. Hopefully they can all come together both on and off the court and turn things around. It's still early...and they have the talent to be successful...they just need the right combo on the court and the right words off the court.

Dixie will struggle this year

I also thought they would play better. Rader is a good PG.
