Hazard 77 Buckhorn 66

Featured Replies

Whitaker had 43 points and 11 assists to lead the Bulldogs. Shot 22/23 from the foul line. Was a lot closer than most would of thought and with the Brawl in the 2nd half between Clemons(Haz) and Blank(B-Horn)and Buckhorn losing their best player due to ejection, Buckhorn held there own without him showing they are a bit under rated in this region. Hazard has Perry Central coming up on Tuesday, should be interesting.

I'd assume Hazard didn't have all their players with it being this close, right?

I didn't think they were playing this season unless they drew each other in the post season.

You are correct, still just 3 starters(Whitaker, Warren, Jones). The others are 8th graders. Getting some valuable experience while waiting for the other Football Dawgs to bring home a state title.

Not if Beechwood has anything to say about it...

Whitaker or the team? Amazing

So, will a couple of days practice get the Dawgs players ready for Tuesday?....:D

Whitaker had 44 points and 7 assists. He was 10-18 (2-2 3pt) from the field and 22-24 from the line. The 2nd miss was on a lane violation. Robert Warren added 18 points and 15 rebounds. Eric Stidham lead Buckhorn with 27 points. He scored 20 in the 4th (with 6 3's) to keep Buckhorn in the game.

That's a massive number of FT's for one player to shoot...

Josh Whitaker is a very nice player and he is putting this team on his back with the football players gone. Wait what am I saying he has had this team on his back from the very beginning! 40+ points thats impressive. Did Buckhorn have anyone who could stop him! Must have been no answer for the smooth operator?:thumb:

Buckhorn didn't have anyone that was allowed to gaurd him without fouling. How do you think he shot 24 free throws. The refs definately protect him moreso than the other players in the game. OTH he is a verry good player that initiates alot of contact to just attempt to stop him.

I think Eric Stidham having 20 in the fourth quarter is also very impressive. 6 threes.

That's what I thought.

I thought Hazard wasn't going to play any Perry Co. schools (PCC OR Buckhorn).

From my understanding that begins next year.
