Montgomery could have named the score. I couldn't believe how weak Lafayette was. I know they only won 4 last year, but after watching them last night, they are really going to struggle in their district and region. Montgomery didn't empty their bench but he did play his second team major minutes. Cody Curtis was shooting lights out from 3 point range and pretty much scored at will.

 

What really shocked me last night was the pathetic turnout for an opening game. Very small crowd.

Lafayette was missing their starting PG with illness. Their best player didn't start and went down after a collision in the lane. The 6'5 kid who can't play because of his heart problem was sitting on the bench in street clothes keeping stats. Lafayette is young and will improve as the year goes along.

 

Montgomery Co. came out focused and ready to play. They got almost all the loose balls and had to have out-rebounded Lafayette by 15 or more. When the Indians shoot it well from the outside they will be tough to handle. Last night they shot it very well.

 

Great to see Cody Curtis playing. After his injury - it's pretty awesome that he's out there at all.

Just saw the stats on mchsbaskeball.com and Nic Hendrix led the way in scoring with 15. Good job last night boys!

I thought Hendrix or Rash would be the leading scorers how did Rash play? I caught the final score and thoughts on the radio but that was all.:thumb:

Rash played well. Heck they all played well. Several were in double figures. Could have been a lot worse than it was.

Interesting I can not wait till the Dec. 16th match-up between Clark and Montgomery. I have already circled it on my calendar and its one of the few games I am able to attend. Crazy Rivalry!:thumb:
