Trenches07... I guess the first teamers will see how the JV did in the film session. Or do the first teamers get to leave films at the same time they left the game? It isn't all about the opponent. It is about supporting your teammates who make you better in practice every day. Football is a team sport and it takes more than 11 to make a great team.

 

Unlike northern teams, these boys here in Bell all live within 15-20 miles from each other and are not just a team, they are a family. It's all for one and one for all in this part of the state. They grew up together, went to grade school together, hunt together, have 10 and 12 boys at a time camping and having sleep overs. They are like brothers, not some from around town or from the next town brought in to build a team. The underclassmen are eager for their starters to get out of the weather or whatever as to remain healthy and be prepared and focused on the ultimate prize. The films are broken down as a team and even sent home with the kids to watch themselves. No one leaves early or misses a film breakdown. These coaches will break down a position and make sure the starter all the way down to the freshman understand the responsibility of that particular position. Football in the mountains is a family sport, not a team sport. :fire:

I am sure that you saw all or most of our varsity players standing along beside us fans in the corner of the endzone cheering on the JV bunch on the goal line stand in the forth quarter. Thanks for your concern.
