Beechwood 28 Ryle 6 (Frosh)

Featured Replies

With Campbell beating Dixie it gives the Bluebirds the 1 st place finish on that side .Dixie beat HHS but lost to Holmes and Campbell.Campbell lost to HHS from my understanding.

Does anyone know when and where the game will be ?

Regardless of the outcome ,what a great season for the Tigers .With the sophmore class they have it should be a productive few seasons to come. From what I was told last night, next years team may be even better ,if possible.

Great job Tigers !:thumb:

With this years juniors only having a handful of players on the team (less than 10 I heard); I wonder if they have enough varsity experience? I hope you are right.

If I am not mistaken Ryle crossed mid-field once due to penalty until the 4 th quarter .Ryle scored with 1:12 left in the game.21 - 0 at the half.# 42 for BW had a big game along with # 40 and the rest of the Tigers,Great effort on both sides of the ball.

Does this put them in the championship even if they slip up against New Cath next week ?

That is wrong. Ryle cross mid field at least 3 or 4 times in the first half, mistakes and penaltys caused the drives to stall.

I believe the final season games will be Beechwood/Highlands & Ryle/Campbell County

I guess I watched a different game as well because I didn't see them cross mid-field 3 or 4 times in the first half (perhaps for the game) and I can only remember one "bad" penalty which was on a punt or kick return. Even then, the return barely crossed mid-field before it was brought back.

If that's the case, in the 1st half, 3 straight penalties on B'Wood and the long touchdown run that was called back because of a holding penalty...hurt them as well. It could have easily been 28-0 at the half.

Congrat's to both team's the rest of the way.

Sorry, I was wrong after watching the game film it was at least twice that Ryle crossed mid field . Beechwood did a great job of ball management in the 1st half. limited RYLE'S total plays to about 10 plays.
