Darius Miller - PT

Role players on any other team in the SEC, most unproven. For some reason, we Kentucky fans, have gotten an undeserved swagger about us this year. We need to stay humble and things may fall in place.

I've read some reports that he isn't being nearly aggressive enough during the practices, typical of non-star freshman.

Darius is a good ball player and will be a solid contributor for UK during his career. I have a feeling that he will get some pt this year, but be very inconsistent. Great one game, average the next.

I'd be very happy if he just plays hard and makes good decisions when he does get a chance to play this season. Make a few passes, knock down a couple jumpers, I just hope he doesn't try to do too much but isn't too scared of making a mistake to contribute (Woo syndrome).

An unfortunate rap on BGP in the past is that Darius looks lazy or not aggressive enough. I think that has been an unfair criticism, but if he want's to find QPT with the Cats, he will need to play at a High level consistently and not in spurts.

It's true, what has the University done in the last three years? We have fans boldly predicting national championships, and we aren't even prepared to win the SEC east

Nice article in the Winchester Sun on Darius.

Quotes from coach Gillispie:

Because of his credentials and his versatility, Gillispie plans to utilize Miller as much as possible in his first season with the Wildcats.

“I see (Darius) playing a big role for us,” the second-year Kentucky coach said. “He has a great understanding of the game and he has to adjust to the pace of the game at this level. He’s a very intelligent person and a very competitive person.”
