Wow! I didn't realize the records of both teams previous opponents. I was not aware of the 3-28 record of Fairview's opponents ( minus Raceland)...

Fairview's level of poor competition doesn’t automatically preclude an Eagle victory, but the reality is, until you play a solid team, there tends to be many unanswered questions. Those answers may or may not be favorable for Fairview….Bath Co will provide a bit more clarity to the situation.

The flip side to this is that Fairview has been able to use real game time speed to polish the rust and inexperience off its players and get use to changes to its offensive schemes. Defensively, it allows them to try different things to see what to use against tougher opponents. Coming into the season, many people didn't expect a lot out of the Eagles. This schedule has allowed confidence and experience and who knows how far they may go. Koudos to the person who made out this year's schedule.

They also have not been hit on defense by running back like Zach Metz. He is a very hard nosed, hard hitting running back that should make this game interesting. This is always a good game every year and I do not expect anything less this year.

Raceland has 2 backs that could start anywhere at any class in the area. Trust me, Bret Denton is the hardest runner they'll face and he put up 181 yards on 12 carries. I'm sure Metz is good, but Denton is battle tested and a 3 year starter. Ashland can attest to this and glad he is graduating.

Bath 28

Fairview 16

Fairview has to play their schedule to the best of their ability, before the season NO ONE was saying Fairview will be 5-1 at this point. I think Coach McPeek and the Eagles have done a great job so far. You guys need to realize they are one of the smallest schools in the state, they play people they think they compete with. A school like East Carter which isn't very good this season has triple the amount of kids, yet they went out on the field and destroyed the Raiders. We could say the schedule is weak for so many teams. I agree though this week will tell alot about both teams.

Bath Co. in a close one...
