I heard today Pendleton County won the 8th Region with Mason County finishing 2nd at Maysville CC. I did not here by how many strokes. I do not know who were the individual winners either. Is anyone surprised by the out come of this regional tournament? Good luck to Pendleton and Mason at the State Tournament.

I heard the same - Pendleton and Mason 1-2 - from the grandfather of one of the participants.

Individuals are:

Michael Petering 74 (won playoff for medalist with a chip in birdie on the first playoff hole)

Zach Wright 74

Russel Rigg 80 (beat Mitch Fair of Highlands on the first hole of a playoff with a par)

Overall results that I heard was Pendleton winning by 15 strokes (321) to Mason's (336). Phoenix Ramsey paced the Cats with a 76. The PC golf program looks to be strong for the next few years! Congrats Cats.

Lane Weaver also shot a 76 for the Wildcats.

Congrats to Pendleton on the win; I'd heard they were looking strong coming into this tourney. Mason no surprize as they always seem to play well down there. Good luck to both down state!! A little surprized Campbell didn't fare better, as I'd heard they were pretty strong this year??

Pendleton County played good but I have seen them play better. They had a few bad holes and it cost strokes. Great Team all of them will be back expect for one senior, T. Steele. L. Weaver - 76, P. Ramsey - 76, T. Cooper - 84, & N Jones - 85
