Williamsburg 52 Jenkins 12

From what I heard the Jackets dominated this game. I heard Tyler Rollins had 7 sacks!! Is that true? That has to be a state record. I also heard Aaron Brock had 4 rec. for 138 yd. and 4 td's. What were Ryans Moses's stats? bet he had a big game, anybody know?

Bleed Blue, you sure are showing a lot of enthusiasm over this particular win.

IF the Yellowjackets did not dominate this game, it would be big news.

They took care of business, as they should, against Jenkins. 7 sacks makes for a good stat, but I think the record is still a few more. Somewhere in this state, some powerhouse has played a Thomas Walker type team and a prospective Div. 1 defensive player has had to have some kind of otherworldly sack count.

Jenkins is overmatched in this game and a few others on their schedule.

Good win for the Jackets and the young guys got in.

Is Jenkins still on the schedule next year?

Good question!:thumb:

Good win for the Jackets. No question about the outcome of this one to begin with.

I dont know if Jenkins is on the schedule for next year, but usually schedules are done in advance and are home and home. Last year Jenkins was 6-5 and a playoff team, so when the schedule was prepared it possibly looked different than Friday nights results. Williamsburg seemed to have taken the long bus ride well and took care of business as a quality team should. I get tired of some who post on here that Williamsburg should play certain teams over and over again, You play the hand you are dealt and go on. Mcreary made it interesting the last two seasons but still went home with a loss. Get over it, Mcreary is what classification, 4A, but fills its schedule with 1A teams and still probably splits those games. I would be looking for bigger fish to fry if I was coaching there. But I am not, and you are not coaching at Williamsburg so let it die please.

I didn't mean anything like that. I know Jenkins was a fill in for one of the consolidating schools. I was just wondering if it was a one and done or a 2 year deal. We had one with HCHS for 1 year due to the consolidation (C'land was on our schedule). I would not touch the scheduling mess that keeps getting brought up with a 10 foot pole. I didn't bring up anything negative or derogatory against anyone.

I just think that it (Jenkins) would be a good game next year for the Jackets.

I seriously doubt Jenkins will be on the schedule for next year. The travel for this game does not make much since.

Jackets did what they needed to do. The game was pretty much over by the end of the first quarter. The Jackets got a lot of their young kids some playing time in this one which always helps toward the future. A couple of the kids who were banged up didn't really play in this one, and got a chance to heal. Overall I would say it was a very positive week for the Jackets.

I was wondering about the scheduling and distance. It's enough that the teams in our district now look at 2 or 3 hour trips.

The way the KHSAA did the district this time around was a bit odd IMHO.

I believe that Berea will take their place on the schedule when they enter the district next year.
