As good of shape as it was in the other day when I was there, it could host just about any tournament.

If we could just get Falmouth/Butler to put in some hotels......

 

How about we put in some cabins on the river. Also a lodge out at Kinkaid Lake would be swell. :thumb:

How about these cities? I'm listing 2 courses in each area in case one course doesn't want to host both the boys and the girls.

Bowling Green (Bowling Green CC and Indian Hills)

Richmond (Arlington and Gibson Bay)

Paducah (CC of Paducah and Drake's Creek)

Elizabethtown (E-town CC and Lincoln Trail)

London (London CC and Crooked Creek)

 

Those are just some suggestions. I guess you could have it in Covington/Newport/Ft. Thomas/all the other cities up there. Maybe at Lassing Pointe for the Boys and Boone Links for the Girls???????

I haven't seen some of these courses that you list, but the one's I have seen here's my opinion. Lincoln Trail has had the state tournament several times, but I'm not impressed with the course. Very ordinary imo to host a state title event. And I'm also not very high in the London Country Club's course. Very average.

 

Why not give a few mountain courses a chance to host the tournament. How about Hidden Cove in Carter County, Wasiota Winds in Bell County, Stone Crest in Floyd County, the new one in Lawerence County (Eagle something), or Belfont in Ashland. Old Silo in Montomery County is nice too, although not really a mountain course. Crooked Creek in London, a mountain course, is great also.

 

Move the tournament around to all parts of the state. That's what I say. Stop signing "contracts" and making excuses that most courses won't give up their course for three days. I can't believe that, not for an event that benifits our young people, like the state tournament does. I think there's a lot of courses in the state that would cooperate with the KHSAA.
