BGP's moved Boyle County up to 2nd in the 4A rankings above Lexington Catholic. I think this is a reasonable move because Boyle County has demolished some worthy opponents. However, Lexington Catholic was beaten badly by two GREAT teams(that Indiana team and St. X of course) but then again they are still a very talented team. Bell County is very deserving of the #1 until proven other wise and we'll get to see the #2 vs. #3 next week. Saying that, Boyle can not afford to overlook Lafayette this week because they are a dangerous team at times. What's everybodies opinion on this move?

I think it's fair. Boyle County has looked really good in beating it's three opponents. Catholic has two losses to two really good teams, but they haven't really been competitive in those losses. With that being said, I can't see an argument for not putting Boyle ahead of Catholic right now. We'll get the answer for sure next weekend.

I agree! However, we both mentioned that the 2 Lexington Catholic losses have came from two really outstanding teams. Really hard to tell at this point but like you said, we'll get the answer for sure next weeked! :thumb:

At this point, great move. It is also a great move by not totally getting rid of Catholic because of their record. When polls begin to rank based on record alone, they are not credible. Rank the team, not their record.

Agreed 100%. I think there are two 4A teams you can legitimately pick to beat Catholic right now and that's Boyle and Bell. Will that change as the year progresses? Maybe. There might be more teams to add to that list; you might can take Bell and/or Boyle off later on. Who knows. But bottom line, once again, BGP has developed outstanding rankings.
