I think Manual could very well be Number 3 in Class 6A by default. I see this year being a down year in Class 6A. One and two are tough and then..............

I thought that odd when I saw it. I don't know if any other head coaches have coached from the box, but I found it especially surprising considering his passion and demeanor, he is the type of coach you want on the field.

 

With Coach Nichols performing as the OC he will need to trust whoever he has in the box to be his eyes.

 

I can only guess their was a disagreement when the former OC left the box before halftime and left the Crimson hanging during the X playoff game last year.

 

Strategy and play options need to be discussed before the game begins to allow for flexibility as the game unfolds.

Good teams, even when being outplayed for a majority of a game, find a way to win, and that is exactly what Manual did last Friday. As everyone will atest, Central is no slouch, so this was a strong validation for the Crimson program. The question I would ask of you is who do you suggest should be ranked above Manual and why do they deserve to be ranked higher?

I have to agree with this statement. Manual's o-line is a bit slow and their passing game is not strong. But, I don't see anyone else in 6A being more talented overall other than number 1 and number 2. Lex schools are down. Northern KY has divided their schools so much that there isn't enough talent at one school to make a strong threat. There's not much 6A played in Eastern Ky. Marshall County and Henderson County are usually the stronger programs on that side of the Commonwealth. Manual could qualify as 6A public school champions by season's end.:thumb:

I can understand why one might think that, but I can assure you that wasn't the case.
