Alabama Larry
Jesus was the first "Preacher" Matthew 5. And we all know what happened to him Paul followed and the people who heard him also tried to kill him several times. He traveled many miles and every stop he face people who wanted him dead, or wanted to prove him wrong. He was flogged/put in prison/shipwrecked twice/got sick/snakebitten/ and more all due to spreading the Gospel. Fire/Brimstone is Ok if added with preaching from the heart and don't worry about people toes and the soon to follow empty seats. Where I'm from we had preachers who would remove their coats and bang on the podium and scare you almost to Heaven. My GrandPa was one. This by the way is a wonderful topic and I've enjoyed reading all the comments.
KYNINERSFAN
E.W.Damron, Ray Bennett, Roger Rankin, Willie Martin, Charles Baird, Bobby Bond, Henry Leo Glancy, .... these are some men that never sugar coat the scriptures for anyone. You want the gospel "Heaven high , hell deep , world wide and shot gun barrell straight" these are some men to listen too.

Pancake
The preachers who stand and yell, does not work for me. I watch the show and miss the message. The ones who talk and tell a story, make me feel like their talking to me. That reaches me...
