August 11, 200818 yr Author Two places they have never played well. Milwaukee gets the cellar dwellers. The schedule evens out after Milwaukee finishes up against the god awful Nats. They go on a 6 game west coast trip that includes Padres and Dodgers. While the Padres are nothing special, they will still be 6 tough road games.

They only cooled off for that Cubs series, they left that series and took 2 of 3 from Atlanta, 2 of 3 from the Reds and now 3 straight from the Nats. They have played darn near perfect baseball since the All Star break and they are still 4 games out.
August 11, 200818 yr The Cubs don't need to scoreboard watch and they don't seem to based on their comments. Who cares what the Brewers do as long as the Cubs take care of business they have nothing to worry about. They got the keys to the car and are doing just fine, they are the best team in the NL, everyone is watching them and worrying about them, not the other way around.
August 11, 200818 yr Any of you guys read Mark DeRosa's blog "The Pulse"? It is really funny and gives great perspective on the clubhouse. DeRo is definitely one of my favorite players and I'm so glad he was not traded for Brian Roberts last spring!

August 13, 200818 yr I was cracking up when he did that. Good win today, 25 games over .500. They managed to save Wood and Marmol for tonight!
August 14, 200818 yr Author Cubs sweep the doubleheader! :banana: Finish off the series tomorrow and head off to Miami. Cubs have now won 7 in a row on the road. :scared:
