Doug Noble. Talked to Arch this mourning, and he said that Doug is hired as a Science teacher and as new Basketball coach. I asked about nick coming with Doug also and he said that Nick had already gotten his classes for this coming year. This was drug out way way to long IMO. Arch knew who he wanted and should have gotten this done along time ago, or as soon as he knew that Banks was resigning.

I am glad this is over, it has been going on to long and the only people that have suffered from this is the players from Owsley and Breathitt Counties. I am glad that people can now go on and the rumor mill will stop. I wish Doug the best of luck at Breathitt County. Coming from a friend I hope that he didnt just go to a coaching grave yard. He had support and Loyalty at Owsley, but the opportunity was to good for him to pass by.

 

The Owsley County administration will do a good job in finding a new coach. The boys from the Owsley program will be working this summer and getting prepared for the upcoming season.

This will also help the football team because Nick has the ability to be one of the better receivers that we have seen in a long time. He was unstoppable in middle school.

Doug better hope that Nick doesn't get hurt in football season, because i don't think that would go over well with Arch.

Really? Then how is it that Arch has been the one picking the last couple of basketball coaches? Holcomb's input hasn't been mentioned much other than how it may impact the football team.

Only say Holcomb has in the basketball team is when one of his football players are playing other than that he has no say.

I highly doubt that the Fugate boy will be coming back now that Doug has the job.

I heard that still wasn't healed and that everytime Nick plays they will still be a risk that his knee cap could pop out of place anytime. This may limit him as a receiver this year in football season.

Nick's a great kid. I hope his knee gets better and he has a great season, even thought I think he would look better in maroon. :sssh:

I don't think Nick is really into playing football, unless he has changed his mind in the last couple of weeks.

I know that Noble will be a great coach for Breathitt Co. They should had got him years ago. He is bring back alot of good players. Nick is a very good player one of the best in this area. Plus he has his two boys one that will be in the high school this year that is very fast and a good shot. Plus he has Wesley that is in the Middle school this year the boys is going to be as good as his cousin Nich is. Wesley has grown so tall this summer he will be one to watch in the middle school this year. Then they are also bring back Wesley friend Tyler Hensley is also a good player for the middle school.The boys was great players to watch last year over at Owlsey and they all are going to be very good players. So with players like that they would have been crazy not to get Noble back to Breathitt.
