Looks like Corbin plays Knox Central tonight at 6:00.

Corbin Varsity beat Owen Co by 20+ and Lex Christian (for the 2nd time in 2 weeks) by 10 but didnt seem that close.

Corbin JV won by 30+ over East Jessamine and had huge size advantage with Stewart and Hopkins playing JV and play Knox Central tonight at 6:00. The varsity plays June Buchannon at 6:00 tonight. Corbin or Scott Co have to be the favorites at this point according to the "observers".

I really believe Corbin can win this thing.

Who looked good for Scott Co?

Phares, Guyn, Jackson, Euton - in that order (imo). Ford, Flannary, Walker also contributed. Their pool wasn't too tough. I think a couple of other teams in the tournament could give them some problems.

I still don't understand how they can play in these summer games with the high school team despite being ineligible. I'm not positive but I don't think Henley has let Housley play in any games since they haven't gotten a word back on him yet. But then again, like I said, I'm not 100% positive.

Any word on how this tourney is going??? Any updates from anyone?? Also I don't really see why you would play these guys until an appeal is won if it is won. I coach in Florida and we have a player that there is a 90% chance he will be eligible come this year, but I don't have him playing with us this summer at all just in case. I would rather get a shot in the arm to strengthen the team than to cut off one of its arms with an unexpected decision.

Dead on. Which is why I don't think Henley has Housley playing with them. Instead he has him practicing so he can learn the offense and get in sync with the others but just watching during games.

Corbin beat Somerset by around 40. I think Corbin plays Hazard in the morning at 930. Scott County beat South Laurel around 8 or 10.

Have heard some folks really raving about the play of Clay County. Guess we will know more after today. All the talk in the 13th seems to center around Corbin and South Laurel. I am hearing that Clay County is very good!!!

 

Some of you who have seen them please share more with us on Clay County and some of their top players. Unfortunately, many of us outside the 13th know very little about them these days.

Certainly have tradition on their side!!!
