Where has my opinion been provided in this thread? I have provided a link that shows data. That data includes Obama's voting record.

BTW, I have not decided who I am voting for. So I don't think my opinion is that slanted right now.

You will probably get upset, but I see some irony in this.

Someone accused Senator Obama of choosing his votes wisely based solely on the fact that he knew he would make a run for President.

Considering the fact that you quite often bring up the fact that you are undecided on who to vote for, it seems very convenient in political arguments to say that you haven't chosen to avoid being called biased.

Maybe, just maybe deep down, you have made a decision, but, like Senator Obama, know that it is best to hide the truth for future gain.

Just kidding around, FWIW.

I know you are kidding, but it brings up a good point for those of us that are undecided. I don't speak for HB, but here is my situation:

I, too, am undecided. I am a democrat, as most of you know, but I do not solely vote by party line. I try to wade through all of the "muck" that is out there to make my decision. I do find myself biased in some ways on both sides - all of the "Obama is a socialist/Obama is a Muslim" talk makes me WANT to vote for him purely out of spite. Sen. McCain's time in the military and time/character shown as a prisoner of war makes me WANT to vote for him purely out of respect and my love for those that have served. I continually have to keep removing those ideas from my mind and look closer at the issues at hand. I like Sen. Obama more in the fact that many of his ideas align with mine, but I like Sen. McCain more in the fact that I believe that as someone more moderate, he will not polarize Congress as much as Sen. Obama. If our legislature is anything like some posters here on BGP, Sen. Obama could propose conservative legislation and they would be against him purely on....let's say principle.

My point, as an undecided, I do still have some biases, but they swing back and forth. I hope that the pendulum is not still swinging come November and I have made a clear cut decision.

:thumb: TB&G, you and I hardly ever agree, but IMO you are BY FAR the most honest poster on this board. Seriously, I'm sure I am not alone when I say that I appreciate your contributions to this board. Another great post.

It seems convenient because I honestly have not decided who I am voting for. I am beginning to lean in a certain direction though.
