I agree, I believe that the last two games that they have played, the Colonels have had a few of their regular players, and they have played quite well and gotten two big wins.

 

Your right Cov Cath brings up guys just to sit the bench when they could be getting 3 to 4 at-bats on jv. If Cov Cath is at full strength then things in the tourny could be very interesting. Who were there two big wins?

They beat an Underrated Scott team last Thursday by about 3 or 4 runs I beleive, and on Wednesday evening they got a quality win against Newport Catholic. They recently lost a close game to the Thouroughbreds while multiple players where in Louisville with the varsity squad. It just goes to show how much of a different team they are when they have everyone.

Speaking of draw... I don't care for it at all. You could get two top teams playing each other in the first round. It should be seeded by season record.

Indeed. Holy Cross is solid. Part of the problem with doing a blind draw. I know it would be hard to do it perfectly since all the teams don't play each other, but I would think the AD's/coach's could make a reasonable stab at it. Let's face it - BHS and HC are both in the top 4/5 JV teams (probably higher) and one will be eliminated after round one.

Heard this yesterday .It is all I have .

 

JV -BW and HC played Monday at BW .When the rain came going to the bottom of the fourth ,they were tied at 1 .

Heard Ryle plays Simon Kenton in first round of tourney. Played them tonight in regular season game and beleive final score was 13-5 favor of Ryle.

I have also heard Brossart and Ncc will meet in the 1st round. I believe they split their two game series this year. Should be an interesting tourny.

The 2 CC's also face off in Opening round! Cov Cath and Campbell County, at Campbell County next Saturday. The tournament should be seeded for sure!

The two CC's also played under the lights tonight at Cambell County. The Colonels jumped out to a 5-1 lead but let it slip away a little bit late. But the Cov Cath hung on and won 5-3.

Holy Cross is looking very strong right now, they beat Conner 14-6 and then beat New Richmond 21-4 i believe.

Here are the matchups for the JV Regional. The coaches decided to break up the bracket into to Regions- East and West due to travel. The East winner will meet the West winner on Saturday May 17th at Dixie. All Random draw. Some really interesting first round matchups and potential matchups down the road. If seeding the teams is not the answer, then there has to be a better way to set up this tournament and not have situations like this happen.
